Is CM Punk a Main Event Superstar?

In the summer of 2011, CM Punk elevated himself to a different level with one promo.

That famous “we want our WWE ice cream bars” and “doofus son-in-law” speech as he sat on the RAW stage turned the wrestling world upside down. Mainstream media caught on to what appeared to be a huge, but entertaining bump in what is normally a smooth-flowing scripted entertainment show.

Since then, CM Punk has been the reigning WWE champion for the majority of the time. He's held the belt since November, but there is still debate among fans regarding whether he is a truly a main event star or if he is living off of one great speech and the background of an underground following.

Big Nasty and I take the topic to task, each on one side of the fence. Check it out, comment on B/R and Twitter and contribute to the polling of if CM Punk is indeed a main event superstar.
