John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis: Likely Outcomes for over the Limit Main Event

With WWE’s 2012 Over the Limit Pay-Per-View just a few hours from kicking off, it’s time to break down which main-event scenario is most likely to happen.

As John Cena prepares to square off with John Laurinaitis, there is almost no chance that this match will end with a clean finish. This is the WWE, after all.

The chance of Cena winning this match is one percent, which leaves Johnny Ace’s chances at 99 percent. How he wins, though, is a different story.

Big Show Interferes

After losing his job on Monday night Raw, the Big Show may ultimately be the one to return to the WWE and help aid Johnny Ace win the match. With Show desperate to get his job back, his attack on Cena at the behest of Laurinaitis would get the GM serious heel heat.

Odds: 50 percent

Brock Lesnar  Interferes

Almost as likely as a Big Show appearance is a Brock Lesnar appearance. With the WWE board of directors talking about no current WWE star can interfere without being fired, that leaves the door open for a fired star or one that quit.

Lesnar’s desire to hold the WWE hostage and get revenge on Cena is the perfect alibi.

Odds: 40 percent

Batista Interferes

While this is a very long shot, Batista was rumored to be in talks with WWE around the time of WrestleMania 28. With Batista’s history with Cena and the fact that his last match was Over the Limit 2010, this has enough of a basis to be an option.

Odds: Nine percent

John Cena Wins

Johnny Ace has serious heel heat right now, and unless the WWE panics because of their low Raw ratings, there is no reason to take the evil corporate GM out of power. If John Cena wins this match, I have no idea where it would go storyline wise.

This is the option we shouldn’t talk about.

Odds: One percent
