L.A. Kings Defenceman Denis Gauthier Gets Five Games For Head Shot

The Los Angeles Kings will not be seeing defenceman Denis Gauthier February 14th as he has been suspended five games without pay for a head shot on Montreal Canadiens' defenceman Josh Gorges in a game on January 31.

Gauthier received a five minute major for charging and a game misconduct for the hit on Gorges. 

Gauthier will forfeit $56,000 in salary which will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
