Denis Gauthier Suspended for Five Games

Los Angeles Kings Denis Gauthier has been suspended for five games without pay for his hit on the head of Canadiens defenceman Josh Gorges in the second period on January 31.

After the hit, Gauthier was given a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct.

He also was to forfeit $56,451.61. The money will go to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

He can play on February 14 against the Edmonton Oilers.
