The SEC Blog will be counting down the top 150 players in the SEC every day, concluding on Aug. 30 at the start of the college football regular season.
No. 102: Elvis Fisher, No. 72, Missouri, Offensive Line
2011 Stats: Did not play.
Strengths
Fisher was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection in 2010. He started every game since he stepped foot on campus as a freshman in 2008. He's a reliable tackle whose experience will be very important as Missouri transitions to the SEC.
Weaknesses
Fisher missed all of last season and most of spring practice after rupturing his left patellar tendon in fall practice, so the injury concern is there. If he's healthy, Fisher has All-SEC potential.
2012 Prediction
With James Franklin at quarterback, Missouri thrived in the running game in 2011. Fisher will be a big part of that in 2012, but his primary concern will be to protect Franklin's blind side. Don't be surprised to see him receive All-SEC consideration when all is said and done.
