Montreal Canadiens Forward Robert Lang Out Indefinitely

Robert Lang's season appears to be over. The 38-year-old forward will be out indefinitely after he went into surgery to repair a severed Achilles tendon on his left leg.

The surgery was performed at the Montreal General Hospital on Sunday night.

He was injured in the third period on Sunday's game against the Boston Bruins. He leads the team with 18 goals and 21 assists in 50 games.

The official team announcement:

Forward Robert Lang underwent successful surgery to repair a severed Achilles tendon on his left leg. The 38-year-old forward is presently recovering from surgery and will be out indefinitely.

Lang suffered the injury during the third period of Sunday afternoon’s game against the Boston Bruins, at the Bell Centre. He was transferred to the Montreal General Hospital where surgery was performed on Sunday night.
