The cast of The Jersey Shore better be working on their trademark dance move because in the past week there have been two attempts on the Fist Pump Champion crown. Earlier this week, 34 year old James Peterson from Ohio invited along the Guinness Book of World Records to prove that he had what it took to make it into the record book. After gluing his hand into a permanent fist, Peterson pumped to the beat for over 16 hours to stake his claim as king. He was accompanied by 2 cameramen and made stops at bars at the University of Akron.

Unfortunately for James, Ray from the “The Bobby Bones Show,” in Austin, decided to shatter the record by going over 17 hours during a live internet feed for fans. Ray displayed the same dedication to the fist pump craft and glued his digits together, but also added the festive bro element by wearing his hat backwards and going shirtless.
