The Tim Tebow news cycle is 24/7. Whether it's not going to the prom with a girl from Iowa or the bounty out on his...unmentionables...Tebow certainly knows how to grab the headlines.
As many football fans know, Tim Tebow is down with Jesus—however, just not on T-shirts. According to TMZ, NY's holiest backup QB fired off a cease-and-desist letter to a T-shirt company that's fashioned shirts that spell out "My Jesus," using the colors and font of the NY Jets logo.
Team Tebow says that "the merchandise makes it appear as if Mr. Tebow actually endorses Cubby tees and its products," and that they demand they discontinue any use of his name or likeness. After being traded from the Denver Broncos this offseason, Tim Tebow currently serves behind Mark Sanchez as the backup quarterback of the New York Jets.
