NBA Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Misses Layup on Jeopardy: BR5

Welcome to BR5, your source for sports, pop culture news and daily doubles.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the all-time leading scorer in the NBA, one of the 50 greatest players ever, the owner of the legendary skyhook and no stranger to a good old-fashioned layup. But give him a layup trivia question, and he's not the Hall of Famer you remember him as.

Kareem was a recent guest on Jeopardy and was asked to name which U.S. movie rating was missing from this list: PG, PG-13, R and NC-17.  His response will not go down as one of his finest moments.

Kareem is no stranger to being in front of the camera.  He has appeared in such classics as Airplane, BASEketball and Fletch.

Another viral video making its rounds from Kareem's appearance on Jeopardy features a quote from the movie Airplane!  This one pokes fun at former teammate Bill Walton.

Abdul-Jabbar won six NBA championships and a record six regular season MVP Awards.  In college, he played on three consecutive national championship teams at UCLA.
