Metta World Peace Gets Punk'd by MTV

LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 12: Metta World Peace #15 of the Los Angeles Lakers leaps in the air as he guards Danilo Gallinari #8 of the Denver Nuggets in Game Seven of the Western Conference Quarterfinals in the 2012 NBA Playoffs on May 12, 2012 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. It's been a heavy few weeks for Metta World Peace.

After serving a seven-game suspension for the elbow to James Harden's head, World Peace headed with the Lakers to Oklahoma City, where he was booed intensely and then served by the Thunder in a Game 1 blowout.

Prior to making the trip to OKC, though, he had a chance to lighten up with an appearance on the MTV prank show, Punk'd. The scene is set in a car garage where MWP is stuck behind a vehicle that can't get out of the garage. MWP finds himself being blamed for an accident that occurs after his passenger decides to take matters into his own hands and get rid of the barricade blocking cars from leaving before they had paid their tickets.

Adding to the drama for World Peace, the people in the garage are (actors serving as) crazed fans who all want a photo with their favorite Laker. It is pretty entertaining to watch how MWP promises everyone photos after the situation gets sorted out, and it is endearing to see him dismiss the security guard who wants to discuss his being Metta World Peace rather than try to use his celebrity to get out of a pinch.
