Dear Tiki,
I always knew you would help lead the New York Giants to a Super Bowl title. You had some great playing years and came oh so close so many times.
Now through retirement, you were able to do what you couldn’t do as a player. By quitting the team you allowed for Eli Manning to finally take over as leader by default. But you didn’t stop there.
You knew it would take more than that to get Big Blue a title. So, you wrote a book blasting your team and coaches which was released to book shelves at the start of the NFL season. That might have been enough, but just to ensure the Giants success, you leaked out excerpts of the book so now the media would be even more critical of Eli and coach Tom Coughlin.
As for on the field play, your absence allowed for the Giants to go running back by committee and not have to rely on just one back. Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, and Reuben Droughns each had big opportunities to shine and because of that, defenses did not exactly know which one to prepare for or practice against.
Eli might have gotten the MVP award, but none of this could have been done without you, Tiki.

As a Giants fan it was hard to see tiki a respectable running back who was really good at running with a terrible fumbling problem bash his former team. He even had his twin Rodne saying he would love to play for the Giants but the Bucs won't let him, turn and bash the Giants during the playoffs. When the Giants brought Coughlin in they said he was a strict coach who demands alot from his players. Tikki went from leading the league in fumbles to having 2 the next season with Cough;in coaching. He went from mediocre to top 5 running back for the last couple of years. Tiki sent Coughlin a great thank you by publicly bashing his coach and writing a book on it. Coughlin gave Tiki a better your welcome by winning the Super Bowl against an undefeated juggernaut.
