There have been some superstars who get by with sheer popularity over wrestling ability...(Cena) (Batista) (Hardys) (Hogan) etc.

But some that have that one attribute that makes you last in this business, and that's technical ability. These are the top five superstars who could/can get it done in the ring better than everybody else.

5. Tie: Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho

This was a tossup. Both are talented on the mic and in the ring. Shawn Michaels is one of the most versatile wrestlers in WWE history. He could pull off various different moves while making them look clean and sold them pretty well.

Y2J is just the same. His cruiserweight background really helped him be the versatile wrestler that he is today. Both are future Hall of Famers and they both deserve it.

4. Chris Benoit

Many people don't like to mention this man's name because of you-know-what, but it doesn't change the fact that the rabid wolverine, Chris Benoit, was one of the greatest technical wrestlers in WWE history.

His nickname suited him very well. When applied a submission move, better yet every move he did in the ring, he did with aggression. He could sell a move better than them all.

When he applied that crippler crossface you knew the match was over or his opponent was severely injured. I just hope the WWE can see through all the controversy and induct him into the Hall of Fame someday.

3. Ric Flair

Wooooooooo! That is the first thing that comes to fan's minds when they think of Ric Flair. His Figure Four Leg Lock is still being used to this day by stars like Shawn Michaels,Triple H, Sting, and many others.

The 16-time world champ got his name from the great Nature Boy Buddy Rogers. When Flair was in the ring, he made a match look smooth and realistic.

He also had many great matches; my personal favorite was with the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 18. All in all, the WWE would be nothing without the Hall of Famer.

2. Bret Hart

He is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, and his name is...Santino Marella! Just kidding, his name is Bret Hart. This man made the sharpshooter famous.

When he stepped into that ring, you knew the match was gonna be special. His career ended with controversy, and he might not want to associated with the WWE anymore, but he forever will be the Hitman.

1. Kurt Angle

He is an Olympic gold medalist. What more can I say? Kurt Angle is no doubt the best technical wrestler of all time. He never in his career had a bad match.

Most of if not all his big matches were classics. His submission holds are clean and tight as anyone's, ever.

Forget about the fact that he is a nine-time world champion. When he locked on that ankle lock I knew the match was over and just turned the channel.

He has battled through injuries and loves this business. Forget about technical, he is the greatest, PERIOD. Please send your comments.
