Very rarely do I make lists of "greatest feuds" or "best matches" ever. You will also notice that I never use laughable star ratings for matches. However, WWE.com made a major list today.
5. Pat Patterson
4. Mr. Perfect
3. Ultimate Warrior
2. Chris Jericho
1. Randy Savage

My Thoughts on This News
Some many not have realized it, but WWE.com has been a very nice website to visit the past few months. A lot of fun features have been added, as well as lists like this. It is actually worth checking out, other than your usual unreliable "dirt sheets."
As for the list, it was pretty good. The company names 25 wrestlers, but I only included the top five.
Maybe I am showing my age (turning 24 next month), but Macho Man would not be my top choice. He is definitely in the discussion, though.
For me, I have watched wrestling since early childhood. From the late 1980s all the way to 2012, it has been great to watch. But I can't really comment on what I haven't lived through.
Still, Chris Jericho would be my selection.
Some will cry for Honky Tonk Man because of his long reign, but I won't. Just because he has a long title run doesn't mean he is great. Just like a long match does not automatically mean it is great. Again, I am probably showing the generational gap a little bit. However, he and Kurt Angle going at it was excellent. Throw in Bret Hart, Triple H, and even Mr. Perfect was really good.
As most know, they were guys right at the main-event level, but not there yet. Either they were ready to bust onto the main-event scene or were simply taking a break for the top spots.
Either way, though, it worked.
Right now, we have Cody Rhodes as champion. He is a fine choice. The man has tons of main event-potential, but he isn't ready right now. The company is filled with talent right now that was really good, but not great.
All lists come with disagreements and arguments. No matter who WWE had as the top spot, people would debate and rant over it. At the end of the day, it is an opinion.
WWE decided to focus on Savage. I can't fault them one bit. My list would probably have Jericho at the top, but that is simply my take.
What do you folks think? Who is the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time? Let's discuss...
