Athlete’s foot is a longstanding aliment that dates back to before John Madden was performing his iconic advertisement spots for Tough Actin’ Tinactin.

Athlete’s foot-in-mouth is a condition that is similar in potency and could even prove potent enough to ruin one’s career.

Many professional sports figures have made a self-destructive habit of misspeaking in public, leading to public backlash, scrutiny and unnecessary bulletin board material, among other ramifications. 

Lakers center Andrew Bynum is wearing quite the egg on his face after making a baffling public claim about closeout games being easy.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather has almost perfected the art of staged agitation, and, because he's  still an undefeated boxer, he finds himself in hot water for some rather bizarre statements.
