Similar to the majority of the major-league sports that take place through the year, the WWE might be developing their own countdown show to be help prior to RAW SuperShow in the time before going live on USA Network.
Here are the details from F4WOnline via WrestlingInc.com on the possible new countdown show prior to Monday Night RAW each week.
We noted before that beginning July 2nd, many of WWE's RAW Supershow tapings will begin 90 minutes before the live RAW broadcast airs on TV. Currently, tapings begin 30 or 45 minutes before RAW hits the air. Speculation now is that WWE may be filming a countdown show for RAW with that extra time. Officials have been wanting something like a RAW pre-show for a while now.
Instead of the traditional dark match before an event, a pre-show would likely be much better for the people in attendance instead of watching a couple of jobber superstars have a match before Raw.
This proposed new pre-show for Raw could be broadcast on YouTube after the company aired a pre-show with a United States Championship match between the Miz and Santino Marella preceding Extreme Rules in April.
If the countdown show becomes a success, the WWE should definitely bring back the pay-per-view pre-show from the site of the event like Sunday Night Heat full time on the WWE Network to help fill out the programming on the channel.
With the idea of a new countdown show ahead of Raw SuperShow on Mondays, do you think fans of the WWE will tune in earlier for a pre-show before Raw or would the concept end up failing for the company?
