With all of the rumors of possible inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, one has to wonder when it will come time for "The Great One" to take his rightful place among the greatest ever.
Dwayne Johnson (aka. The Rock) personified everything that a WWE Superstar should be. He was a phenomenal athlete, a dedicated worker, and the best stick-man in the history of the business.
His ability to entertain "the millions and millions" within the wrestling industry spring-boarded him to Hollywood stardom.
The Rock was a key figure in the attitude era and played an essential role in helping the WWE defeat the WCW and become the single most powerful entity in the wrestling industry.
The Rock was a seven time WWE champion, a two time WCW champion (during the invasion storyline), a two time Intercontinental champion, a five time Tag Team champion, and the 2000 Royal Rumble winner.
He main-evented Wrestlemania three years in a row, taking part of some of the most historic matches in WWE history.
His classic bouts with Stone Cold Steve Austin were the stuff of legend. Anyone who ever attended a live event and saw the two men square off in the ring knows the electricity I'm talking about.
The accolades are endless but back to the original topic at hand.
When will The Rock be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?
When Stone Cold Steve Austin's induction was leaked prematurely onto the Internet, the WWE came forward with their public recognition of this honor months before they usually would.
I believe that Steve Austin will be the main attraction of this years Hall of Fame class. There is always a slight possibility of The Rock being inducted within the same class but my best guess would be that they will save The Rock to be the main attraction of a future Hall of Fame class.
There's no question that he deserves this honor. I suppose the "millions and millions" will have to sit back and wait for this historic moment to come.
