After hitting an absolutely perfect drive on the final hole, Woods then choked on his second into the green, pushing it dreadfully to the right and missing the green completely.
If you're not familiar with the final hole, it's worth noting that there is a massive body of water the entire way down the fairway and past the green. This can cause players to over-analyze their shot into the green and push it to the right so as to not hit the ball into the water.
That's precisely what happened to Woods.
He almost hit a brilliant shot from the right rough, putting the ball within a foot of the pin on his third, and in the end Woods had to settle for a par on the 18th hole.
He finished with a final score of minus-one for the tournament, and after the terrible first nine holes of his final round he will be walking away with something positive in the end.

After a brilliant 16th hole, Woods attacked the infamous par-three 17th.
His tee shot was brilliant. He hit a baby cut with his pitching wedge and landed the ball about ten feet from the cup.
After a lengthy wait, Woods hit his second-straight birdie putt to move him into red numbers for the tournament.
Tiger is still Tiger, folks. He isn't quite on his game, but his determination and focus are as strong as ever.

Woods is making a minor comeback and is now at even par for the tournament by making birdie at the par-5 16th hole.
He hit his second shot well short and into the front-left bunker on the 16th green. His third shot was a thing of brilliance as he pitched out of the bunker and used the natural contours of the green to funnel the ball down next to the hole.
Woods then drilled his five-foot birdie put to make his third birdie of the day.

After a horrid start to Woods' final round, he seems to be moving in a positive direction on the back nine.
After going plus-four through is first eight holes, Woods has now made all pars and one birdie through 14 holes. He'll be working hard to make a strong finish, regardless of how bad his round has been thus far.
As competitive as Woods is, this mediocre display is surely frustrating, but if we know anything about the man it's that he won't quit until he figures out how to fix it.

Tiger is going the wrong way, and he's now minus-four through 10 holes on Sunday, bringing his total up to plus-two on the tournament. With the leaders teeing off soon at minus-11 and minus-12, it's clear that Woods' performance will be one he hopes to forget.
His fourth round got off to an ominous start when he bogied the first hole. He came right back and birdied the par-five second hole, and it seemed like maybe Woods would get his mojo back in time for a Sunday push into the top-20.
Unfortunately for him and his fans, Woods then shot four over par through the next five holes—a double-bogey at four and bogies at six and eight—knocking completely out of contention.
It's back to the drawing board for Woods, though lately it seems as if he has perpetually been in the same condition. His game isn't on point, and as such, neither is his confidence.

It appears as if Tiger's day is over, and at the very least he made some progress. Tiger finishes Saturday's round at -2 and now finds himself tied for 33. It doesn't appear as if Woods is going to make much noise in this tournament though, as he shot par on the day.
Rickie Fowler is still on top of the leaderboard, but is tied for first with Kevin Na and -9.

Tiger is currently sitting at -2 overall and is shooting even on the day so far through 13. As of right now he's tied for 35th.
Rickie Fowler on the other-hand is continuing his hot play and is now in sole possession of first on top of the leaderboard at -9 followed closely by Matt Kuchar, Zach Johnson and Kevin Na.
Recap:
After a horrible Thursday, he rebounded rather nicely on Friday.
The four hole stetch of birdies from 8-to-11 really gave him a jolt of confidence that has been lacking in the past month. He was very consistent in all aspects of his game.
While Woods may be six strokes back heading into the weekend, he is lurking, and after his performance on Thursday, that's all he could ask for.

As soon as Woods teed off on 13, a fan screamed "LIGHT THE CANDLE!!" that certainly caught the attention of fans around the hole, but it didn't distract Tiger.
