Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Montreal Impact: Are Leonardo and Perk Coming Back?
Goalkeeper Brian Perk and defender Leonardo could be in the fold for Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy ahead of their Saturday tilt with the Montreal Impact on Saturday at Stade Olympique in Montreal (kickoff: 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET, KDOC and KWHY).
Both Perk and Leonardo played in a Reserve League match against the San Jose Earthquakes and look fit to come back.
“There’s a lot of meanings and purposes for reserve games, and one is to bring guys back from injury,” Galaxy assistant coach Curt Onalfo told Luis Bueno of MLSSoccer.com. “For Leo, it was great to get him out there for 45 minutes and he looked really good."
“It felt great going through the motions and everything," Perk said after the Reserve League match witht the Quakes on Tuesday. "I didn’t have much to do. ... It was good for me just to get 90 in. It’s just one of those things where you came out and see how it reacts and if it’s fine, it’s fine.”
