WWE News: Update on the Next 3-Hour Edition of Raw SuperShow in 2012

Last month, Raw SuperShow was expanded from its normal two-hour block on the USA Network to one of the WWE’s special three-hour episodes. The show featured the contract signing between Brock Lesnar and John Cena for their match at Extreme Rules.

Before the event, there were rumors flying around the internet that the 2012 edition of the WWE draft was to be held during that episode, as it was during previous years.

With that being said, when is the WWE's next special edition of Raw SuperShow scheduled for?

From WrestlingInc.com:

Eight-man tag action with John Cena, CM Punk, Sheamus and Randy Orton vs. Lord Tensai, Kane, Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan is being advertised for the next three-hour RAW Supershow on June 11th from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Since the 2012 WWE draft wasn’t held during the previous three-hour episode of Raw, the rumors will likely start up that this year’s draft will be held on June 11 in Hartford instead.

However, outside of simply holding the draft on their three-hour edition of Raw, the WWE could make these episodes special by adding an extra element to the night instead of holding a standard show.

As the company did during special episodes in 2008 and 2010, for example, the WWE could revive the King of the Ring tournament for that event. They could then reward the winner with either a WWE or world heavyweight title shot at a future pay-per-view.

If the WWE ever does away with the Night of Champions pay-per-view, it would also be a great idea for a three-hour edition of Raw to see each and every current champion defend his or her title in one night.

With the next three-hour edition of Raw SuperShow arriving in a month, what would you like to see the WWE do on the night and in future three-hour editions?
