Yaya Toure is on the cusp of his first Premier League championship with Manchester City. But he is dreaming of one day returning to Barcelona.
"I would love to return to Barcelona and finish my playing career there," Toure told Catalan radio station RAC1 (h/t Goal.com). "If they called me, I would not think twice about it."
The Ivorian midfielder made more than 100 appearances for the Blaugrana over three seasons.
During his tenure, Toure won two consecutive La Liga titles. He was also part of the team that won six trophies (including the Champions League) in 2009.
He was sold to City in the summer of 2010 for a fee of more than $38 million (US).
Since then, Toure has been an integral part of the rise of Manchester City in the Premier League. And last weekend, his two goals propelled Roberto Mancini's squad back to the top of the table. City only need to win one more match to secure their first top-flight championship since the late 1960s.
But despite it all, Toure loves Barcelona.
"Barca has been the most important club for me. I love Barcelona," he said. "If I could return, it would be great."
