JaVale McGee Gets the Game Ball, Throws It into the Staples Center Stands

The Denver Nuggets held off a furious Los Angeles Lakers push led by Kobe Bryant's 43 points to get the 102-99 Game 5 victory and send the series back to Denver for a Game 6.

JaVale McGee was huge for the Denver, finishing with 21 points (on 9-of-12 shooting) to go with 14 rebounds and two blocked shots off of the bench. After the game, Craig Sager caught up with McGee for the postgame interview where McGee also had the game ball in his hands.

After the two talk about the game and how McGee's career has been revitalized since the midseason trade to Denver, Sager tells him to, "hang onto that game ball." As McGee walks off of the court and heads toward the tunnel to go to the locker room, he inexplicably throws the game ball into the stands. 

Why? Who knows. That's just how JaVale McGee goes about his business.
