Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas is widely considered the fastest man in college football. Apparently he’s not the fastest on the gridiron in his state. Anthony finished third in the 100-meter event at the Oregon Twilight track & field meet, with Oregon State WR Markus Wheaton coming second. Both were behind Washington’s Ryan Hamilton, who is not a football player. Anthony ran a 10.65, while Wheaton clocked in at 10.58 and Hamilton won with a 10.51. To add insult to Oregon fans, Wheaton is the cousin of Oregon hero Kenny Wheaton.
