Bryce Harper or Mike Trout: Which MLB Prospect Will Have a Better Career?
After the promotion of uberprospects Bryce Harper and Mike Trout last weekend, the future of baseball has officially arrived. Both Harper, 19, and Trout, 20, appear destined for superstardom over the course of their respective MLB careers.
But which prospect will ultimately have the better career? While they are two very different types of players, they both possess a set of tools that grade towards the high end of the 20-to-80 professional scouting scale.
Since both have provided only a small sample size at the major-league level, I have dissected each player’s skill set with the hope of answering the question myself.
So, Prospect Pipeline readers, who do you think will have the better career? Be sure to share your opinion in the comments section below, or reach out to me on Twitter (@GoldenSombrero).
