Superman SHAQ Can Still Play

Anyone who doubted Shaq for a second, minute, or hour needs to apologize now.

I'm sorry, Shaq diesel, that I doubted you for the past couple of years.  I thought you were done and you just wasted the salary cap for any team you went to.

I thought you were going to be on the bench most of the time because you weren't going to be in great shape.  I thought you were going to be constantly tired or injured.

Don't get me wrong, I always had respect for shaq because I'm a Laker fan.  I loved shaq to death.  Nevertheless, when he left the Lakers, I thought he was going to be horrible and not take any team to the championship.  Guess I was wrong two times.

We all know Shaq cannot move as fast as he used to because of weak knees; plus he has had so many problems with that big toe of his.

Despite those problems, he has gotten back to averaging almost 20 points and 10 boards per game.  When he has averaged those numbers in the last month the Suns have won 9 out of 11 games.

I know the Suns are not as good as they used to be with Shaun Marion.  I even thought trading Shaun Marion for Shaq was a stupid idea—and still do.

For Marion it was an especially bad trade.

He went to the Miami Heat whose system is completely different from the Phoenix Suns. Now he doesn't put up the numbers he used to.

As for Shaq I think he's completely happy about that trade.  He probably misses playing with Wade, but he knew there was nothing he could do for that team.  All they had left was Wade anyways, so he went to a team that has other stars besides himself. Now, Shaq doesn't have to carry most of the load because he doesn't consider himself the first option on the team, it's Stoudemire.

Even though I don't think Shaq will give this team a championship, let alone make the championship, he still makes the Suns more efficient. They don't run the fast paced offence they used to run, but they are getting good shots at the basket.

Even though the Suns are not fully accustomed to running that slow paced offense, they are still doing pretty good and should make the playoffs.

Shaq is getting his rest.  When you rest Shaq then play him he does very good for your team. Shaq is even still good enough to make the all star team—he's a reserve.

People didn't vote for Shaq just because they like him, but because he's actually working hard to play well.  He's is even shooting his free throws better than ever.

In his last game he made like 9 out of 10 free throws.  Shaq is balling this year. So do y'all agree that Superman can still play?
