I'll Have Another made a dramatic late-race surge to overtake Bodemeister and win the 138th Kentucky Derby.

It was an incredible sprint by the horse and 25-year-old jockey Mario Gutierrez, who was making his first appearance in the sport's biggest race.

I'll Have Another was facing 15-1 odds and appeared to draw an unfortunate starting position. But after chasing down the favorite Bodemeister, I'll Have Another completed the miraculous comeback and became the first horse ever to win the Derby from the 19th slot.

Next up for the cookie-munching horse is the Preakness and Belmont Stakes, where he will try to become the first Triple Crown Winner since Affirmed in 1978. Coming into the Derby, his Triple Crown odds were 50-1. Now, they should be much better.

Here are the complete results and payouts from the 2012 Kentucky Derby.
