OK everyone who tuned in and enjoyed the Kentucky Derby along with me, I appreciate you sharing your time. What a tremendous event that didn't fail to entertain and surprise. I can't wait for the Preakness Stakes in a couple weeks. Everyone enjoy the rest of the weekend! And don't quit drinking the mint juleps just yet!

I haven't been an avid racing fan but the Kentucky Derby is a great event and an unbelievable way to kick off the lead up to summer. Creative Cause had to settle for fourth.
Dullahan showed while Bodemeister placed. We will get the full results and payouts as soon as possible.
Union Rags had to settle for sixth, very disappointing finish with all the hype over the last couple days.
The start of this race was blistering! I can't believe Bodemeister was out as fast as he was.
First time ever that the 19th position won the Derby and with a rookie riding!
Doug O'Neill and Mario Gutierrez win their first Derby each. Congratulations to them and to a horse that didn't seem to get a lot of love coming in.
Great race. Trinniberg didn't ruin it for anyone. I'll Have Another was very impressive.
Bodemeister held up really well though. He went out so fast I thought he'd be gassed by the homestretch.
WOW! I'll Have Another! I completely overlooked his by-a-nose win over Creative Cause, but what a finish!
Creative Cause on the outside!!
Hansen is flying too!! Third!
Wow, Bodemeister out FAST!
Again, the heat will favor stamina I think. Such a long race and all these horses are uncomfortable.
Anyone else think it's cool that the UK basketball players are part of this event? I love it!
Thanks Joe! My first time covering a horse race! I'm learning on the job. If you're still reading, do you have any picks?
I'm picking Creative Cause so my rooting interest lies with him, but as a Philadelphian I have to pull for Union Rags. Smarty Jones captivated us then broke our hearts!
I wouldn't mind being wrong if it means El Padrino wins on Cinco de Mayo.
The No. nine horse Trinniberg could cause problems for some of the speedier favorites. He is purely a sprinter who will fall off but he could push some big names to go too hard at the start. That's one of the reasons I like Creative Cause. He can hold up over the longer distance.
Borel loves the rail though, and he is starting way inside. Huge advantage for him with his style.
