Despite two powerhouse clubs underachieving in the English Premier League, both are finding success in other tournaments.

Chelsea has made it to the UEFA Champions League Final and Liverpool won the Carling Cup. They are playing for the right to be called FA Cup champions Saturday at Wembley Stadium.

UPDATE: The Reds pushed hard in the second half but came up short. Chelsea holds on to defeat Liverpool 2-1 to win the FA Cup.

UPDATE: Liverpool's Andy Carroll scores in the 64th minute to bring the Reds to within one.

Blues' midfielder Ramires opened the scoring in the 11th minute on a ball from Juan Mata. Then, Didier Drogba blasted a left-footed dart to the right corner of the net in the 52nd minute to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead.

While no two-goal lead is safe, especially of late, certainly Chelsea sits in a comfortable position. Liverpool will throw the kitchen sink at Chelsea from here on out, but the Blues will be eying a third goal on the counter attack.

Chelsea's confidence of late has been evident. Then again, who wouldn't be confident after defeating one of the best teams in the world, Barcelona.

As for the entire game, it's was pretty even. There hasn't been too many opportunities but Chelsea made the most of its chances. Chelsea has been more optimistic in the final third, firing more shots at the net.

Chelsea continues to surge in the English Premier League and Liverpool continues to fall short of expectations.
