College Basketball Jan. 29, 2009: Mitch Picks Wright State at Youngstown State

I searched Getty Images and couldn't find a picture of either of these teams, so I searched the generic term "Basketball," and this was the most generic photo I could find.

Wright St. (12-8) at Youngstown St. (6-13)

The Line: Youngstown State +6 1/2

When I looked at this matchup, without doing any handicapping or even looking at a number, I thought we would definitely be looking at a double-digit point spread somewhere in the mid-teens. I am somewhat shocked that it is so low.

While a line like this may scare some people off, as they think "someone knows something," it doesn't scare me one bit because I do know something—that Youngstown State is a horrible cover team and Wright State has been money. I would be surprised if this one didn't move up before the opening tip.

Wright State is 11-6 against the spread this year, while Youngstown State is 5-7. YSU is 1-4 against the spread in their last five overall. Wright State is 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games, 4-0 against the spread in their last four Horizon League games, and 11-1 against the spread in their last 12 overall.

I think this one is a mismatch and the 6 1/2 is missing a one in front of it.

Mitch's Pick: Wright State -6 1/2
