Tiger Woods finished well down leader board at the Masters and he will miss the cut at the Wells Fargo.
After being on a high through the Florida Swing in March with the 62 at the Honda Classic and the win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Tiger's game seems to have regressed.
On Thursday his driver created problems and on Friday his driver appeared to be solid but his ball striking with his irons seemed to be suspect.
Just like every other golfer in the world Tiger is struggling to take his game from the range to the golf course.
Maybe this says more about his mental approach than his golf mechanics.
Tiger's round on Friday included three bogeys and only two birdies.
He had nine straight pars on the front nine (his back nine) when he was trying to pick up one or two birdies to get inside the cut line.
He hit 14 greens on Friday but had 33 putts. He constantly left his approach long distances from the hole.
On the tough undulating greens at Quail Hollow long putts do not equate to low scores.
Stay tuned next week for the Players.
TPC Sawgrass is not a place you want to play if your game isn't 100%.
