The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo (with a h/t to Sports Witness) reported that Didier Drogba wants to end his career at La Blaugrana. According to the report, Drogba is willing to accept a reduction in his salary in order to fulfill his dream.

Drogba is in his last season with Chelsea FC with his contract set to expire this summer. The idea of him finishing his career with Barca is impossible.

Drogba is 34 years old and would probably not be a fit with Barca. It is also probable that with a new manager in FC Barcelona, the club would be interested in younger players.

Drogba has been known to lose his temper during the heat of a match. FC Barcelona does not have the patience for those with temper tantrums.

Any attempts to sign Drogba by FC Barcelona (or any club in Europe) would be scrutinized by UEFA. La Blaugrana is bound by the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules.

It has also been rumored that Drogba was going to sign with the Chinese team Shanghai Shenhua. The rumor, as published by ANI (with a h.t to DNA), reports that Nicolas Anelka (Drogba's teammate at Chelsea) would accompany him to China.

It remains to be seen whether Drogba will go to Barca or China.
