That's right, folks, the WWE has done it again.

Apparently, the late change to the Extreme Rules match between The Big Show and Cody Rhodes was not due to a web leak or speculation, but a minor merchandising issue.

As I reported on Sunday night, the official WWE Extreme Rules T-shirt listed the Intercontinental match as "Cody's Choice: Tables Match." As we all know, Cody had very little to do with the choice in match, as his fate was left to a roulette wheel.

In the end, we still got our tables match, but according to WrestlingInc.com, the way it was supposed to happen may have been different:

If you don't believe plans change within WWE on a regular basis, the t-shirt being sold for Extreme Rules last night in Chicago listed the Intercontinental Title Match between Cody Rhodes and Big Show as "Cody's Choice: Tables Match."

This indicates that before the shirts were printed, the plan was for Cody to pick the stipulation of a Tables Match. Sometime between then and Friday's SmackDown, WWE officials came up with the idea of the Roulette Wheel that we saw on the pre-show.

To me, the roulette wheel was the better option, as it left more to the imagination. Ultimately, the WWE should have listed the match as a tables match on its T-shirt and left it at that. This would have allowed it some time to come up with a final decision on how it wanted to announce the stipulation.

In the end, I guess it really doesn't make a difference, as the WWE gave the fans a solid match and a T-shirt with a minor mistake on it.
