WWE Extreme Rules 2012: 19 Different Stipulations in Extreme Rules History

During Friday night's edition of SmackDown! it was announced that the stipulation for the Big Show and Cody Rhode's Extreme Rules match in Chicago would be a surprise to be decided at on Sunday by spinning a wheel. 

Since 2009, there have been 19 different stipulations to be used in the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, and although this year promises new stipulations (like two-out-of-three falls), there is a high chance that the stipulation that will be part of the match for the Intercontinental Championship will be one of these 19 stipulations. 

Country Whipping Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2011 (Micheal Cole and Jack Swagger vs Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross). 


Extreme Makeover Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2010 (Beth Phoenix vs Michelle McCool with Vickie Guerrero and Layla for the WWE Women's Championship).

Extreme Rules Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2010 (Jack Swagger vs Randy Orton for World Heavyweight Championship). 

Falls Count Anywhere Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2011 (Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes)

Gauntlet Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2010 (Hard Dynasty vs ShowMiz vs John Morrison and R-Truth vs The World's Strongest Tag Team). 

Hair Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2010 (Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk). 

Hardcore Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2009 (Tommy Dreamer vs Christian vs Jack Swagger for ECW Heavyweight Championship). 

Hog Pen Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2009 (Santino/a Marella vs Vickie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero). 

Ladder Match

Years Present: Extreme Rules 2011 (Christian with Edge vs Alberto del Rio with RIcardo Rodriguez), Extreme Rules 2009 (Edge vs Jeff Hardy).

Last Man Standing Match

Year Present: Extreme Rules 2011 (Randy Orton vs CM Punk).

Steel Cage Match
