This is one of the most successful PGA Tour stops. Monster galleries, tons of top players competing, and many driveable par fours make this a fan favorite. 2009's "Greatest Show on Grass" is sure to impress.

The FBR Open and a business charity organization know as The Thunderbirds raised over $7.8 million for over 100 charities last year. That set a record.

Is there anything not good about this event?

I'd like to send my personal congrats out to Pat Perez for his victory last week at The Bob Hope. Some of the scores were absolutely ridiculous. It's been a long time coming for Perez.

Thank God he won, or I fear to think what could have happened. He has what some might consider, "a bit of a temper."

His fragile psyche was quite evident when he was two shots up and on the par four 14th hole. He hit the flagstick on his second shot, and the ball came to rest some six feet away from the cup.

Most golfers would have jumped for joy. Not Perez. Instead he threw his eight iron to the ground in disgust. He must have been pissed that he didn't hole it out from 150+ yards.

Darn.

That was then and this is now. This field is JAMMED with talent. Again, another hard week to narrow down my selections. I wish I could pick a 12 pack this week, but that would be gluttonous. I digress.

Anyway, here's your six pack.

No. 1 Mike Weir

I know I picked him last week. I cannot ignore a good thing when I see it. This wily Canadian is playing fabulous golf and is on one of the hottest streaks of ANY golfer on tour.

Weir placed third last weekend. His previous seven tournaments have seen him T14, T4, T10, T6, T67, and T2.

Mike has not won on tour since the 2007 Fry's Electronics Open.

Can you say, "Due?"

How about, "Overdue?"

I knew you could.

Take a shot this weekend with Mike Weir, this weeks no-brainer at 22/1.

No. 2 Kenny Perry

The Morency Special. The Man of Steel. Call him whatever you want. This weekend you may just call him.....winner.

Kenny Perry is absolutely crushing the ball off the tee right now. That bodes well on The TPC Scottsdale.

Over the years Kenny has danced around a bunch of top twenty finishes on this track. He was a runner up once. Kenny is a fan favorite, and should get good support from this insane crowd.

Perry has only had one off round in his last eight times around the track. He has mainly been in the 60s, except for that fourth round 74 at The Sony Open that blew up his otherwise beautiful tournament.

Perry's odds are at 33/1 on most books this week.

No. 3 David Toms

It looks like David Toms is on a mission this year. This guy is someone to look at on your fantasy rosters this week.

Toms plays well at this course except for last years uncommon cut. Last year was a fluke. Toms regularly is in the top 25 at this course.

He wants to go to Augusta, so he is charging hard to earn big money. That charge may not be necessary if he wins this week, as he would be Carte Blanche, en route to The Masters.

David Toms offers great value at 33/1.

No. 4 J.B. Holmes

Holmes is a bomber, so this course is ready for him to take.

He seemed to be a little off his game at The Sony, and didn't perform very well at Kapalua either. Normally this would throw up a red flag and eliminate Holmes from my sixer automatically.

That being said, Holmes has played at The FBR Open three times. He has won there twice. He is the current defending champ. Also another typical automatic elimination form my six pack as not many people besides Tiger win their title defenses.

You must be wondering, "Bottom Line Jay, why the hell IS J.B. Holmes in your six pack?"

The answer my friends is blowin' in the wind, and that wind happens to be blowin' around some remarkable value.

J.B. Holmes is 40/1 this week.

No. 5 Steve "DCMD" Marino

It's broken record time again. Steve Marino is going to win two tournaments this year. He is going to contend for many more.

Marino is a top 25, cut-making machine. The folks over at pgatour.com must be reading my articles, as Mr. Marino is on their front page this week as a player to pick.

Marino's first effort here produced a T34 last year. Now that he has been deflowered by the Scottsdale crowd, look for him to capitalize on the loud cheers he receives this week.

At 66/1, you are looking at stunning value for a true top-of-the-line golfer that very well could realistically win this week.

#6 Kevin Na

Na entered the tour the same year that Hunter Mahan did. He is one of the young guns on tour, that has had some disappointment, but is very capable of winning and VERY capable of going VERY low.

I have a strong feeling about my dark horse long shot this week. I predicted that Hunter Mahan would win the Travelers in 2007 and he did. This week, my Spidey Sense is tingling and I am sensing Kevin Na in the winners column.

Na has played this tournament three times before. One of those times he was runner up, and last year he was T4. Also he played well at The Sony Open two weeks ago and placed fifth.

He placed fourth at The Sony last year. This shows that he is consistent at certain courses.

75/1 odds are nothing to scoff at my friends. Lay it down and win!

Good luck with your fantasy picks this week!
