Montreal Canadiens Drop Third Straight In Tampa

Daniel ArouchianSenior Analyst IJanuary 28, 2009

The Montreal Canadiens lost their third straight match against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Maxim Lapierre and Alex Kovalev scored twice and Andrei Markov once. Carey Price stopped 19 shots.

"You can't blame him for everything," Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau said. "But on the other side, our goalies are going to have to be stronger. We can't win games giving up four of five goals every game, and the last two or three weeks it's been kind of that way."

I agree with Carbonneau 100%.  The Tampa Bay Lightning had 24 shots on Price. My question is: where is the defense?

Final score: 5-3 Tampa Bay

The Florida Panthers are next on Thursday.
