Dave's College Basketball Picks, Jan. 28: Wichita State at Bradley

dave darbySenior Analyst IJanuary 27, 2009

Wichita State (9-11, 3-6) at Bradley (12-8, 6-3)

Line: Bradley -6.5

Having never led in the game, Wichita State’s freshman Toure Murray connected for a three pointer with 8 seconds to go to give the Shockers a one point victory over Evansville on Sunday. The win gives Wichita State a three game winning streak including victories over Creighton and Illinois State.

Bradley is coming off a 68-56 victory over Indiana State and is tied for second in the conference, two games behind Northern Iowa. Bradley beat the Shockers on the road 60-58 on December 31st.

Wichita State is 7-8 ATS including 5-4 on the road

Bradley is 9-7 ATS including 5-3 at home

Bradley is 6-4 ATS against Wichita State in their last 10 match ups

While Wichita State has won 3 in a row, they have all come at home. The way they were playing prior to Sunday, the Evansville game should not have been as close as it was, and really they were very lucky to have won. Wichita State is 0-4 on the road in conference and I expect that trend to continue. I don’t think this one will be close.

Dave’s Pick: Bradley -6.5
