The Saints got an offensive playmaker in the fourth round, but I'm not sure anyone saw Nick Toon on their radar. I figured they would lean more on the speed side of the wide receiver class given their only deep threat left on the team is 30-year-old Devery Henderson.

Toon is never going to be a dynamic receiver, but he is a solid possession receiver whom many had as a late second-round prospect. With all of the first-tier tight ends of the board, the Saints grabbed the 6'2" 215 lb. Wisconsin badger since a lot of receiver prospects were quickly coming off the board. Toon will come in and compete immediately with Henderson for the starting spot opposite Marques Colston.

While it could be a solid pick, there were other players left in the draft that would've had a much higher ceiling than Toon, a la Marvin Jones. That is why this grade isn't higher.

Grade: B-
