Have you grown a bit weary of hearing about BCS meetings, four-team playoffs and Bill Hancock's lunch plans? I sure have. Thankfully, the podcast of the week offers you a respite from all of the BCS talk.
This week, we're spotlighting the Eleven Dubcast by one of my personal favorite websites, the Ohio State blog, Eleven Warriors. As far as Buckeyes coverage goes, there are few better and this podcast is just one of the many examples of why this site is a daily stop for me.
With the Buckeyes wrapping up spring ball this past weekend, we decided to use a break from the BCS talk to look at one of the hottest stories in college football: Ohio State and Urban Meyer. Bill Rabinowitz, from the Columbus Dispatch, is a solid get for the show as one of the better Ohio State beat writers out there. The hosts, Johnny and Sarah, get into spring football, starting on the field. Depth charts, who impressed and who did not impress, changes to the offense and who they expect to step up.
Then Rabinowitz comes on to talk some of the spring happenings. On the field is a great discussion, but Rabinowitz, Johnny and Sarah really shine when they start talking about off-field occurrences and the intangibles.
Where will the Buckeyes find their leadership on the field as young guys are being thrust into important roles? The maturation of Braxton Miller as a quarterback in his second season. Ryan Shazier the beast monster as the second-best player on this defense, all praise to John Simon. Emerging players like Michael Bennett and Bradley Lope will be fun to see grow into their roles.
In total, this show is another great Dubcast, so be sure to click here and give them a listen. If you'd like to download the show for later consumption, click here.
