Super Bantamweight Willshaun Boxley vs.Torrance Daniels Stole the Show

Team BoxleyContributor IJanuary 27, 2009

Skilled super bantamweights Willshaun Boxley (4-0, 2 KO's of Coon Rapids, MN) and Torrance Daniels (12-8, 5 KO's of Colorado Springs, CO) stole the show in a bout reminiscent of a high speed chess match.

Both fighters had their moments in the opening rounds. Boxley was the aggressor, attacking with hard punches while Daniels looked to counter punch.

However, by the third round, Boxley changed things up on Daniels by becoming the counter puncher while still mixing in power shots.

Both Boxley and Daniels looked a bit winded going into the fifth round due to the fast pace each set in the prior rounds. Boxley was able to keep up the pace though as Daniel's punch output began to decline.

Boxley was digging in hard punches to the body in round six. Daniels fired back but Boxley calmly pressed forward and stole any momentum there was left to take.
At the end of 6 rounds, judges scores read 59-55, 59-55, 58-56
