Eli Manning can’t pass every play.

With the 32nd pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected David Wilson out of Virginia Tech.

Instant Reaction: New York wanted Doug Martin didn’t they?

Analysis: The Giants lost Mario Manningham to free agency this offseason. They also cut Brandon Jacobs. On top of all that, Jake Ballard and Travis Beckham both tore ACLs at the end of the season.

New York had to replenish Manning’s arsenal of weapons this draft. Martin is a great start. Giants fans have to wonder, though, if their team preferred Doug Martin.
