Unless you have been living under a rock the past few months, you know soon to be Former Governor Rod Blagojovich is undergoing an impeachment trial in Illinois. I have a solution for the problem. Mike "Da Coach" Ditka should be the new governor of my grand ol' state of Illinois.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Mike Ditka should run for the governor position. Once Governor Rod is finally removed from office, the now Lieutenant Governor, Pat Quinn should definitely call a re-election. Mike Ditka should throw his name in there.

The people of Illinois would definitely vote for him. Mostly everyone in Illinois, specifically Chicago, loves Mike Ditka. He brought the only championship and glory to Chicago football since the early days of George Halas. Maybe he can do the same with stereotypical politics in Illinois.

As sports fans know, Mike Ditka is far from stereotypical. As a coach, he was fiery and got what he wanted and he was heard. He was rational and knew what he was doing. The now governor is far from what Ditka is.

If Ditka is elected governor, there will be a new kind of "super fans." "Super fans" for politics. As far as I am concerned, if Ditka throws his name out there as governor of Illinois, I will be more then happy to jump on the bandwagon.
