In surprising news, the WWE have just announced on their official website that top superstar Rey Mysterio has been suspended for his second violation of the company's wellness policy.

Per WWE.com:

In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) for 60 days effective Thursday, April 26 for his second violation of the company's policy.

This can be considered a major setback for Mysterio, who has been on the bench since August of last year after undergoing serious knee surgery.

The star had previously claimed he would return from his injuries in May. Of course, that is no longer going to happen. Per WWE rules, he will now not be eligible to return until late June.

Mysterio is a former world heavyweight champion and remains one of WWE's most popular stars. He was first suspended for failing a company drug test in August of 2009.
