NHL Playoffs 2012: Twitter Erupts with Racist Comments After Joel Ward's OT Goal

After Washington Capitals fourth-liner Joel Ward's unlikely overtime goal Wednesday night in Game 7 against the Boston Bruins, there was yet another ignorant response from hockey fans across the country. The lack of respect honestly makes me sick to my stomach.

Twitter erupted with numerous tweets containing the "n-word," and after the Wayne Simmonds incident that occurred in the preseason, this is something that just can not be tolerated.
