Dave's College Basketball Picks, Jan. 27: Indiana State at Creighton

dave darbySenior Analyst IJanuary 27, 2009

Indiana State is on a four game losing streak and has lost 7 of 8.  The Sycamores (6-12 ATS including 4-5 on the road) have a Missouri Valley Conference worst -2.9 turnover margin. Indiana Statealso has a -2.5 margin in rebounds on the year. That’s how you get an RPI of 246.  Creighton (10-7 ATS including 4-4 at home) hasn’t exactly been the unstoppable team that was a preseason unanimous pick to win the conference. Both Northern Iowa and Drake have come away from the Quest Center with victories. I hate giving up 17 points. Hate it. But do we really have much of a choice? Creighton beat Indiana State on the road by 18 in their first game. Indiana State has been beaten by more than 17 points 4 times and Creighton knows how to put away teams having won by more than 17 points eight times this season.

Dave’s Pick: Creighton -17
