Super Bowl XLIII Prop Bets: Do You Care?
There's plenty of fun ways to bet on superbowl odds, including the wild assortment of gimmicky propositional or exotic bets.
For 17 weeks of the regular season, football bettors solely focus on the point spread and the total. But now that we're betting on super bowl 43, everyone is interested in all sorts of extraneous bets.
Do you really care about who will miss the first field goal? Or who will notch the first sack? Or how the coin toss will land?
Or is it the opposite? Do you in fact enjoy these sorts of bets more so than the usual array, and you would like to have them available for regular season games as well?
My opinion of it is that there are so many proposition bets nowadays it literally takes hours to read through all of them. On one hand, there's probably some value examining all the lines and using your sports knowledge to bet on something like the Pittsburgh Steelers winning the time of possession battle, simply because they ranked 10 spots higher Cardinals in this category in the regular season, but the bottom line is it takes too much time to get through all the lines, and that kills the value.
