" Patience Is a Virtue"

Joe JonesCorrespondent IJanuary 26, 2009

OK, now that silly season has begun, the kickoff for a new coach begins. Herm Edwards is finally gone, and so is half his staff. Now it's time for the real Scott Pioli to stand up.

What would you do? Search for a seasoned veteran coach or go into the college ranks? Sure, there are a lot of big names out there, but none for the taking. The only college coach in my opinion that would be a good fit for the Chiefs would be Bob Stoops, but it looks like he's staying with the Sooners.

This is going to be a huge step that Scott has to take, but there is also no need to rush. Rome wasn't built in a day. With patience and a little help from above, the Chiefs should be in good hands.
