When the Heat signed Mike Miller two summers ago the team envisioned the former Sixth Man of the Year and veteran sharp-shooter as the perfect complement to the Big 3.

After missing a combined 71 games during the past two seasons because of thumb, shoulder and ankle injuries and a hernia, the 32-year old swingman is showing signs he might finally be close to becoming that guy — and perhaps the missing piece in a title run.
