The Arkansas Razorbacks have found an interim head coach to replace Bobby Petrino.

According to the Associated Press, Arkansas has tabbed former assistant coach John L. Smith to be its interim head coach:

Smith served as a special teams coach under Petrino from 2009 to 2011 before accepting a head coaching job at Weber State, his alma mater. The Wildcats will now have to find someone else to replace retired head coach Ron McBride.

Petrino was fired after four seasons at Arkansas after he tried to cover up his relationship with 25-year-old former volleyball player Jessica Dorrell, who he helped get hired by the university.
