When you have Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in a tournament together, it is television executive's dream. Four of Europe’s most successful and most storied teams facing off for the highly coveted UEFA Champions League Title will draw a crowd.

If we take a moment to look back at the two telecasts, they were very strong according ratings data provided by FOX. Lets go inside the numbers:

FX’s audience for the April 18 UEFA Champions League semifinal (592,000) was plus-21 percent compared to last year’s first semifinal (Real Madrid CF vs. FC Barcelona, 489,000).  The first semifinal match on Tuesday, April 17, a 2-1 Bayern Munich win over Real Madrid on FOX Soccer scored 308,000 viewers, up plus-20 percent from the network’s first semifinal (FC Schalke 04 vs. Manchester United FC).

OK, now this week the FOX Sports Group hopes for a big win, as again they will broadcast a Tuesday-Wednesday format for the semifinals.

FOX Soccer will offer the Tuesday, April 24th match between FC Barcelona and Chelsea FC, which will air at 2 p.m. ET, this time from Spain. The pregame and postgame analysis will be handled by the FOX Soccer team of Rob Stone, Eric Wynalda, Warren Barton and guest analyst Brian McBride.

Then Wednesday, April 25th on FX, also at 2 p.m., Stone, Wynalda, Barton and Brian McBride will once again be on hand, this time to breakdown the epic battle between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid from the famed Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid.

For those not near a television, the FOX Soccer website provides plenty of up-to-date information, as does the UEFA website. All of the participating team sites offer pregame and postgame information as well, but the best bet if you are not near a TV is either the FOX Sports site or the UEFA.

The FOX ratings statement was obtained first-hand.
