UFC 145 Results: Rory MacDonald Happy with His Performance, But...

After finishing Che Mills in devastating fashion at this weekend's UFC 145, one would think that rising welterweight prospect Rory MacDonald would be happy with his performance.

Well, not exactly.

"I'm very happy that I won," MacDonald told UFC on Fuel TV reporter Karyn Bryant, as seen in the video above.  "I made some technical errors that I need to look back and fix."

MacDonald criticized himself for letting Mills close the distance early in the first round.  He also felt like he did not use his fakes or set ups effectively.

While coming into this fight without a set game plan, MacDonald knew that he had the advantage on the ground.  

"I noticed he was a lot weaker than me on the ground, so I just kept it there," MacDonald said.

The now 13-1 welterweight prospect had nothing but praise for his opponent saying that the media did not give Mills enough credit for his powerful striking.  Despite only having one fight in the UFC before Saturday's bout, MacDonald did not take Mills lightly.

"I know, if a guy's fighting at this level, fighting a co-main event in his second fight in the UFC, he's gonna be dangerous, so I took him serious," MacDonald said.

Looking forward, MacDonald expressed interest in having a rematch with the current interim UFC Welterweight champion Carlos Condit, who defeated the young MMA phenom in a Fight of the Night performance at UFC 115.  Other than that fight, MacDonald could care less who he fight's next.

But what about UFC Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre?

"No.  He's a friend and a training partner of mine," MacDonald said.
