The NFL draft is one of the most followed offseason events in all of sports. This is mainly because fans want to see what new talent their favorite team can add. However, there’s also the intrigue of identifying a late-round steal.

Finding a sleeper could really impact the future of a franchise. Just ask the New England Patriots. Their ability to identify Tom Brady is why they’ve made five Super Bowl appearances since 2002.

Brady might be the most recognizable draft steal in history, but he isn’t the only one to have a major impact. Several other late-round gems joined played pivotal roles in Super Bowl appearances. Not all the players included on the list are quarterbacks.

The 2012 draft will also feature players who find a way to make a difference, despite not coming off the board until later in the draft.  This is why so many fans watch all three days of draft coverage.
